COT: YHC loves the mix of cultures only found at the World Cup, even with FIFA’s known corruption and ticket-sale gamesmanship. Excluding refs and hassling players and team is a weak look for the ol’ US of A. Here’s hoping the better angels of our American nature reassert themselves.

THE THANG: PAX divided into three teams for the group stage. Teams competed in a Dora race. One PAX ran to the stop sign, while the other partner did exercises. Totals were 25 blockies, 50 coupon swings, 75 coupon squats, and 100 calf raises. Order of finish was Team 2, Team 1, Team 3. Team 3 disbanded and players were assigned to the other two teams via rock paper scissors.

PAX then mosied to the park for the knockout stage. 3 man Dora with 50 burpees, 100 body weight squats, 150 merkins, and 200 big bois. Team 2 won.

PAX then played a quick soccer game with 3 burpees after each goal. Team 1 found their golden boot and thought they prevailed until the Q declared a tie and we went to PKs. PAX could choose an open goal shot from midfield or a true PK from 15 yards. Losing team (miss if kicking or goal allowed if defending) on each kick had to run a suicide while the other team Al Gored. Team 1 has sore quads after winning PKs 2-0.
