I just five days with four friends in Colorado I met over 30 years ago when I was in Teach For America. A couple Marriages are falling apart, some kids are being complete assholes, but with equal measures we also discussed the joy and happiness of this ridiculous journey we’re on.

It’s never too late to strengthen the relationships you have, and never too late to build new ones.

Also, another thing I know about the value of friends from my time in the intelligence community, is that friends should be counted on to keep secrets! Here’s a little secret that Suzanne doesn’t know … and if she does know, she hasn’t let on and is a better poker player than I am.

The Donovan & Bank Fundraiser is back on … with 17 days left before our deadline to hit $20,000 target – we have about $11,000 more to go. If we hit $20,000 by the night of The Rally on Friday March 24, I will get a Mohawk live at the event. There’s a funny video to hype the Mohawk called “Horshack Needs a Haircut” – I’ll send it, but no telling your spouses!!

Even though I’d prefer not to get a Mohawk, I need everyone to do what you did during Super Bowl squares and promote the shit out of this final part of the fundraiser – we gave at least double what any other AO gave – so it’s not fair, and I don’t give a shot, because life isnt fair.

The final part of this fundraiser has two opportunities to give:

1. an incredible raffle spearheaded by my new friends in the Blue Ridge Region in which the sole raffle winner gets around $5000 of items including a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle 15 year bourbon valued at $3000, along with a few other pricey bottles of various bourbons and whiskeys, plus a bunch of F3 cult swag from Mudgear – AND lots of assorted Rucking Gear for all of us knuckle draggers. $5 per ticket, with volume discounts.

2. a top donor prize for a Special Operations Experience valued at $10,000 in partnership with Donovan & Bank. The top donor so far is $600, so if you know some big spenders like Winston (based on his Saturday Starbucks spending alone), please let them know about this cool experience.
