COT: Q talked about how (1) the easiest way to marginalize something is to give it its own month. Because after that month, you move on and celebrate another month. Every month should be mental health month if it’s important enough to us. We spent a little time on the obfuscation of language and what that means to us as men – how when we hide behind words and syllables, it makes it easy to hide what’s going on with us and lose track of what we really are trying to say or share. Don’t fail victim to the obfuscation of what’s going on inside you

THE THANG: The PAX attempt to complete week 3 of the monthly challenge but YHC kept getting distracted. We finished 2 rounds of the intended 5:
50yd Bear Crawl, 50 yd standing broad jump performing 3 burpees for each 5 broad jumps. 50 SSH (IC)
Distractions 1: 1 round of pullups max reps while PAX alternated between Balls2thaWall, Break Dancers, Merkins, Wall Sits and Box Cuters. Distraction 2: Box Jumps 5 rounds, 20 derkins
Distraction 3: Ran the bleachers, 30 dips

COT: QIC shared his mental health journey and daily challenges living with adult ADHD. The attached is a pretty good representation of how most tasks, even the simplest ones, are completed. It’s rarely a straight line but i’ve learned to manage and set expectations appropriately. As always, I appreciate the structure and support this group of fine men bring to the gloom each morning. And that’s what keeps me headed in the right direction.

THE THANG: The 10 PAX split into 4 teams and assembled at the four corners of the field. At these corners and also at midfield along the sideline there were piles of cards. To earn a card, the PAX had to do the exercise on the card 20 times plus the number on the card. For face cards it was a flat 25.

The Ace high flush bluffed their way to the winning hand over QQ999, but everyone was a winner and got to do 20 burpees.

Today is 42 years for my mom and dad. Saw them go through fire and back but they stood together. Can’t make it far without commitment, service, and sacrifice (and I’ll add faith and humility). It’s men and women of these virtues who make nations, communities, and families great.
