Motivation can light a fire, but it does not always last. Eric Thomas says, “Everyone wants to be a beast until it is time to do what beasts do.” Thats a great line to kick you in the pants, you do not need to feel strong before you act.
Strength is not a requirement. Whether you believe in a higher calling or in the F3 mission to live with impact, you have a purpose. For some, it is raising strong kids. For others, it is being a steady husband or a faithful friend. Whatever it is, the work matters.
As parents, we ask our kids to do hard things. We challenge them because we believe in them, even when they doubt themselves. The same is true for us. Growth starts the moment we step into discomfort.
In 1 Chron 28:10, David tells Solomon, “Be strong AND do the work.” Not wait until you feel strong enough then begin. He tells him to just go do the work.
That is the message. Action builds strength. Confidence follows purposeful movement.
What is one place in your life where you have been stuck? Take the next step.
