COT: “in the absence of your opinion, everything would be fine.” I love our family movie nights, but the selections can leave a lot to be desired. During one really bad movie, I withheld the urge to talk trash and point out (seemingly) obvious holes in the plot and other absurdities. After the movie, I asked if they liked it. To my surprise, my wife and 3 kids all said yes. I realized that my critique added nothing to the overall enjoyment. So lesson learned – the world doesn’t always need my/our opinion 🙂 But glad I could vent to y’all.
