ANNOUNCEMENTS:

COT:
Nelle Reagan, the mother of Ronald Reagan told him upon entering the Whitehouse, “You can never be too small for God to use you, but you can be too big.”
That quote speaks volumes about humility and the importance of understanding our place in God’s plan. Often, we feel inadequate—too small to make a difference or to fulfill what God may be calling us to do. But Nelle Reagan reminds us that being small isn’t the issue. It’s when we think we’re too big, too important, or too self-sufficient that we get in our own way. Pride can prevent us from letting God work through us, while humility opens the door for Him to use us. This reminds me of the words of the Apostle Paul in James 4:10 (NRSV): ‘Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.’
God calls us to humility, knowing that when we set aside our pride and submit ourselves to Him, He can use us in ways we never imagined. It’s not our size, our strength, or our accomplishments that matter. It’s our willingness to be humble, to serve, and to recognize that all good things come from Him.
As we go about our day today, let’s remember that we are never too small for God to use. We don’t need to be the strongest, the smartest, or the most influential. We just need to be humble and willing, and God will take care of the rest. The only thing that can limit us is if we let pride get in the way.
