Two damn good games. We scored 8 runs in the first game, 5 in the second game. Unfortunately the other team scored more, and per the arcane rules of softball, that means they won.
Highlights: too many to count. Coxswain snagging a comebacker was the best, followed by a couple close outs at home. Way to hustle. Those will be runs next time!
All in all, a great first game. We gave away a few outs, and that opened the door for some big innings. If we tighten those down, we’re gonna be competitive in this division.
I’ll be announcing some practice opportunities to deal with specific areas that need improvement: – infielders throwing hard to first base
– fielding fly balls off the fungo
– batting practice (either at the Upton hills batting cages, or we can have a group session with my coach if y’all wanna shell out some $$)
