COT: In 2 Corinthians 12:9 we read “but He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me“. The Apostle Paul is struggling with the reality that God has not removed a “thorn in the flesh” from him (an unnamed weakness/pain) despite praying for healing three times. Yet, Paul affirms that God’s grace is sufficient for ensuring it and God’s power will be made known through this weakness. When I was a kid, I prayed that God would remove my dyslexia but that was not granted. I’ve adapted, as we all have to, to our weaknesses. I need to memorize my sermons instead of reading them, but maybe that’s for the best. May God grant us grace sufficient for bearing our struggles and may God’s strength be seen in our carrying these crosses.

The pursuit of Happiness is Not a destination. More that’s it’s enjoying the highs, over the lows in life. Most of us are fathers and we need to help our kids understand how we achieve happiness, sadly it’s not thru social media. We need to persevere thru the up hill struggles so that we can enjoy the down hill moments in life.
