THE THANG: The J.G.: 3:00 of running, interspersed with 5 burpees, 10 merkins, and 15 air squats. We ran out to Kirkwood around the YMCA and the GMU Arlington Campus, down Fairfax Drive, turning into the Ballston neighborhood at the new gym that used to be a Chinese restaurant. We ran up across Washington Boulevard, through the W-L campus, got on the trail, got off at Lincoln and ran down to the Dunkin Donuts on Langtson and back to the AO. MARY: Not with the J.G.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Murph, Convergence. Look for a mini-Murph at the Sandlot sometime soon.
COT: YHC related how he is doing the Pittsburgh Half-Marathon in 8 days in conjunction with his 2.0’s graduation from Pitt. Lots of emotion with creeping closer and closer to being an empty nester. Also, the will to win is nothing without the will to prepare. Didn’t do any Tuesday or Thursday training runs! LOL! SYITG!

sparta Delphi Q rewind

WARMUP: Mosey to get the dice, then SSH, WMH, arm circles, windmills, Cherry pickers, Michael Phelps

THE THANG:

In the circle we split into two groups. Group one rolls the die and has to do that number of runs between midfield and the goal line. Meanwhile, the other team does an exercise in the circle until they return.

The exercise include:
– Coupon squats
– Alternating forward and/or reverse lunges
– Monkey humpers
– Calf raises
– Kettle bell swings
– Alternating oblique raises, switch every 5
– Curls

Mary: LBCs, merkins (I think), maybe others

COT: YHC talked about dealing with anxiety and how some of those methods are now being used to help his kids as well. Meditation is certainly one of the most effective.

COT: trust yourself, you have wisdom. Spring break trip with another group of families felt off, our kids weren’t digging it. We left – which is something we don’t normally do (rock the boat, take up space); no drama, just did what we thought was best for us. Trip ended up being pretty magical.

THE THANG: Easy Run through Braddock neighborhoods. ~2 miles. Frisbee 3 on four with a slight twist.

COT: Don’t run from your problems, because they generally don’t just go away. Seek guidance from those you trust in dealing with your problems. Have faith that you will get through it.
