Article: Why I Stopped Working With Busy People | Marissa Bracke |

Busy is different from having a lot going on . . . when people describe themselves as “busy” – they describe an emotional state, a feeling.

You can’t solve busy – no matter how much one streamlines their processes or delegates, etc. – because the feeling of busy will remain the perception, but just with a different set tasks. It’s a steady state.

We use the word “busy” as a cop out. We use it as an automatic response to things we want to avoid or don’t want to deal with.

Instead, find people who like to fill their day with attention focused on the right stuff – the stuff that gives them energy and makes them light up.

Try not using the word busy for three days – and you may be surprised to learn how often you resort to that word, and what a plethora of emotions and activities it’s covering

COT: Morality has to trump legality. If all we do is what is legal we will do the minimum. Our world needs men who will do what is morally right, not just legally right. Q used the example of Boaz who had a loose legal obligation to marry Ruth, but who was compelled by his conscience to go much further for what was right and in so doing protected the line of King David. Be men of outstanding moral character.
