It was cold and snowy so we did things that you do in the cold and in the snow. The Q was a little concerned at first because the pax were so bundled up he had no idea who was there. FNGs? Infiltrators? Oh well. Give em a good beatdown and it’ll work out ok.

WARMUP: stealing a page from the book of @citrus we alternated a warmup exercise with a set of burpees and coupon tempo squats. The burpee/cts count was 2-4-6-8-10-9-6-4-2

THE THANG: Four groups. Group 1-3 did an exercise while group 4, the timer, pulled a coupon on a rope from midfield to the end zone and back.
Group 1 did a different exercise each set. Magellans, coupon swings, and OH press. Group 2 did tick tock burpees.
Group 3 did calf raises, Moroccan night clubs, and seal claps

Part 2: sled races. Team 1 vs team 2, and team 3 vs team 4. Pull your partner on a sled from mid field to the end zone. Flapjack and return. While the rest of the pax did an exercise.

COT: April 3, 1968 – Dr. King gave his last public address to a group of sanitation workers who were on strike in Memphis, TN. The following day he was assassinated.

https://www.afscme.org/about/history/mlk/mountaintop

The last paragraph of his speech is especially poignant and timeless. It serves as a reminder, especially today, that there is still so much more to be done to advance equality for all races. We all must continue to unite to climb this mountain.

“Well, I don’t know what will happen now. We’ve got some difficult days ahead. But it doesn’t matter with me now. Because I’ve been to the mountaintop. And I don’t mind. Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I’m not concerned about that now. I just want to do God’s will. And He’s allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I’ve looked over. And I’ve seen the promised land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land. And I’m happy, tonight. I’m not worried about anything. I’m not fearing any man. Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.”
